Chris Coleman: By all accounts, Junior Day was a great success for Virginia Tech. Besides landing a commitment from 4-star defensive end TyJuan Garbutt, the Hokies also helped themselves out with a number of other high-priority recruits…
RB Khalan Laborn: Visited with his mom, and they both enjoyed visiting with Justin Fuente, and they even ran into Frank Beamer. Tech has made Laborn a priority, and he knows it.
LB Dax Hollifield: The Shelby, NC native took his first visit to Tech and had a great time. He’s a top 100 level recruit.
QB Alex Faniel: Faniel is a tall quarterback from Richmond who has some mobility. He’s arguably the top signal caller in the state for the 2017 class. Virginia Tech is the heavy favorite.
OT Marcus Minor: The staff doesn’t just want Marcus Minor…they “need” him, at least that’s how the situation was described to me. Tech is in a solid position right now, but many schools are recruiting the Maryland native.
