Marcus Minor, an offensive line prospect out of Hyattsville (MD) prep power DeMatha Catholic, has had a busy but productive late January/early February. Here is the rundown…
– January 23 – Pitt offers
– January 30 – Minor visits UNC
– February 2 – Miami offers
– February 3 – Syracuse offers
– February 6 – Minor attends Virginia Tech’s Junior Day
– February 7 – Minor visits UVA
The 6’5″, 285-pound junior now boasts 13 scholarship offers in total, including those schools he visited recently. In the coming weeks Minor has plans to see Maryland, Wake Forest and West Virginia, all of which have offered as well.
Minor discussed this past weekend’s college experiences, beginning with Virginia Tech.
“Had a great experience (at Virginia Tech),” Minor wrote in a Twitter direct message. He added that Virginia Tech’s coaches showed “they care for me and have the best intentions for me as a school.”
Coach Justin Fuente and offensive line coach Vance Vice “showed they wanted me showing I was a big piece missing out of their program,” Minor wrote. “I believe they are strong coaches and know what they are doing.”
Fuente reaffirmed the offer Minor received from the Hokies last summer, when Frank Beamer was head coach. UVA did the same when Minor stopped by Charlottesville this past Sunday.
