Hokies Fill Most Needs on Offense

Virginia Tech has signed 11 new offensive players. The Hokies filled their needs at quarterback, wide receiver and on the offensive line, though they came up a little bit short at tight end, and running back to a lesser extent.

Let’s take a closer look at this class, which on the whole I believe is a good one.

Joshua Jackson: 7 Power 5 offers

Virginia Tech did an outstanding job at quarterback. In fact, they did a much better job than the offer lists of Joshua Jackson and Jerod Evans would indicate. Evans was a JUCO player, which limited his offers. Jackson did not play as a sophomore in high school because of a transfer rule, so nobody knew about him until after his junior season. At that point, many of the bigger schools already had their top prospects
