Virginia Tech has signed 11 new offensive players. The Hokies filled their needs at quarterback, wide receiver and on the offensive line, though they came up a little bit short at tight end, and running back to a lesser extent.
Let’s take a closer look at this class, which on the whole I believe is a good one.
Virginia Tech did an outstanding job at quarterback. In fact, they did a much better job than the offer lists of Joshua Jackson and Jerod Evans would indicate. Evans was a JUCO player, which limited his offers. Jackson did not play as a sophomore in high school because of a transfer rule, so nobody knew about him until after his junior season. At that point, many of the bigger schools already had their top prospects...
