Four Virginia Tech running backs have 100 yard rushing games to their names…
Though nobody has asserted their claim to be the featured back, saying the Hokies don’t have anybody who can get the job done at running back would be inaccurate.
Unfortunately, three of those eight 100 yard rushing games are on the shelf. Marshawn Williams and Shai McKenzie are coming off torn ACLs, and it isn’t clear when (or if) they’ll be 100% this season. Here’s the depth chart:
1: J.C. Coleman (5-6, 192, Sr.)
1b: Trey Edmunds (6-2, 224, r-Jr.)
3: Travon McMillian (6-0, 196, r-Fr.)
4: DJ Reid (6-1, 226, r-Fr.)
5: Deshawn McClease (5-9, 177, Fr.)
6: Coleman Fox (5-11, 192, Fr.)
