1) What would Virginia Tech have to do to replicate what Maryland is doing with their “DMV to UMD” movement and get players to stay home? What is Maryland doing right that Virginia Tech isn’t? – hltdc

Chris Coleman: For those who don’t keep up with recruiting, Maryland is off to a great start in their own home state this year. They have commitments from the #1, #6 and #7 players in the state of Maryland. They are also in good-to-great shape for several other players in the top 15.

Maryland has two advantages that Virginia Tech doesn’t have. First and foremost, they are the only FBS team in their state. Second, the school is in very close proximity to all the recruiting hotbeds in the state. Unfortunately the Hokies don’t enjoy those advantages. 757 kids can actually get to UNC and Maryland faster than they can get to Blacksburg.
