Now that spring practice is over, it’s time to take a closer look at Virginia Tech’s scholarship situation.

Note that this is an unofficial scholarship count. When a player goes from walk-on status to scholarship player, that obviously makes the news. However, if a player loses his scholarship but remains in the program, that information generally isn’t made public. There could be a few such players on the current roster, so there’s no way to know Tech’s exact scholarship count.
