“The Opening: D.C.” (former the Nike Football Training Camp) was held at Centreville High School (Clifton, VA) on Sunday, April 19. I’ll have individual reports in the coming week, but for now here are some news and notes from today’s event.

Top Performers

Seven high school juniors received invites to the main “Opening” event that takes place in Eugene, Oregon:

The seven invitees are below. Going left to right, there is Diggs, Haskins, Taylor, Davis, Turner, Jones, Yulee.

Virginia Tech has offered at least three of the four uncommitted prospects, with Davis as the only question mark. Taylor, who is likely the top prospect in the state of Virginia’s class of 2016, turned in the top SPARQ rating of the year after running a 4.03-second shuttle, posting a 42.2-inch vertical leap, and running a 4.34-second electronically-timed 40.
