Bud Foster’s defense has put up huge tackles for loss and sacks numbers throughout the years.  They have an opportunity to do so again in 2015.

As you can see in the graphic by OXVT below, Virginia Tech’s 2014 defense had more tackles for loss than any other defense in the Frank Beamer era.  Their 109 beat out the 2002 Hokies and their 103.


The Hokies have made a living playing in the backfield, so for the 2014 team to set a new mark for greatness speaks highly of that group.  Also, the vast majority of those tackles for loss return for the 2015 season.  Here’s what Tech loses…
