1: How big of an impact do you think the Battle of Bristol will have on recruiting, if any? You would think VT and UT would be selling to all the big time recruits about being a part of the biggest college football game ever.
Chris Coleman: Both teams are most certainly using it on the recruiting trail. Virginia Tech has huge posters advertising the game hung up in the lobby of the Merryman Center, which is the first thing recruits see when they come to campus for an unofficial visit. You can bet that recruits of both schools know all about that game and what it would mean to play in it.
That being said, it’s just one game. Tech and Tennessee players, if they play four years, will play in at least 48 games over their careers. If they make conference championship games and bowl games, they could end up playing up to 56 college football games. As big as the Battle...
