1) Out of all the basketball player additions, who is going to have the biggest impact next year? How about two years from now when the transfers are eligible?

Chris Coleman: From a pure talent perspective, most scouts seem to believe that Ahmed Hill is the best player of Tech’s 2014 class. I’m certainly not going to disagree with them. However, the question you asked is who will have the biggest impact, not who is the most talented player. The Hokies have a ton of other talented wings besides Ahmed Hill. What they lack is post depth.

Therefore, I think the guy who will have the biggest impact will be Shane Henry. I think he’ll start at the power forward position from day one. He’ll be a bit undersized, but I think he’s a very good fit for what Buzz Williams likes. He’s an athletic guy who gets after it on defense and on the boards, and he can run the floor.

I’m not sure how skilled Henry is offensively, but I’m not too concerned about that. From a mentality standpoint, I think he and Buzz are good fits for each other. He’s my pick to have the biggest impact of all the recruits in 2014-15.

Seth Allen is a big-time transfer. He is a proven starter at the ACC level who can really shoot the basketball. I think he’s the easy pick to have the biggest impact a year from now, after he sits out a year due to NCAA rules.
