6’4”, 215-pound junior Tremaine Edmunds is a prospect with potential on either side of the ball. The Dan River (Ringgold, VA) standout could develop into a tight end like his father, Ferrell, who starred at Maryland before moving on to a successful NFL career. At this point, though, most college coaches envision him playing defense, specifically outside linebacker.
Older brother Trey is a rising sophomore running back at Virginia Tech. Older brother Terrell signed with Virginia Tech football in the class of 2014. Tremaine, who has earned a handful of scholarship offers and is also drawing significant interest from many others, provided the latest on his recruitment, updating his offer total and addressing several topics including when he plans to make his college choice.

“It meant a lot to me,” Edmunds said. “I’m just glad they recognized me enough to offer. I’m been looking to Maryland ever since Trey was being recruited by them. I like it there.”

“It was good,” Edmunds said. “I love the Carolina atmosphere. The Junior Day went well. I went to a lot of stuff. I went to a basketball game and enjoyed that. I hope to go back for one of the spring practices.”
