Isaiah Ford

Height: 6-2
Weight: 180

To me, Isaiah Ford is one of Virginia Tech’s most important commitments in a long time.  You can make a strong argument that he is the best player of the 2014 recruiting class, just based on his highlight film and his offer list.  It’s not every day that the Hokis go into Florida and get a 4-star wide receiver over Louisville, Florida, Miami, Ohio State, Michigan State, Clemson, Florida State, Penn State and many others.

The fact that Ford signed with Tech shows exactly what the new offensive staff is capable of on the recruiting trail.  That’s why his signing was so important.  Not only does he have a chance to contribute a lot as a freshman, but to me he is also a major confidence boost in the ability of this staff to recruit.

Ford has a sophomore highlight video on YouTube, which I’ll imbed below.

However, I recommend watching his video on and checking out his Hudl profile.  They include highlights of his senior season, and for the most part the camera quality is better.

I played wide receiver in high school, as well as defensive back, so I’m better at evaluating those positions than I am others.  Suffice to say that I like quite a bit of what I see from Ford, and apparently a lot of major programs did too.

Here are the things that stand out to me…
