Virginia Tech is coming off a very important recruiting weekend, and by all accounts it went well.  Chris Horne did a great job tracking events over the weekend, and with this article I’ll try to let you know where the Hokies stand as we head into the final nine days before Signing Day.

Chris Horne talked to Chris Scott, Nnadi’s head coach at Ocean Lakes.  You can read that article here, if you haven’t already.

To me, it sounds like Tech and FSU are in his final two, with Ohio State on the outside looking in.  It appears Frank Beamer will get the last in-home visit with Nnadi as well.  However, according to Nnadi, the race is already over.  He Tweeted on Sunday evening that he had already made his decision, though he has since gone back and deleted the Tweet.

I think Nnadi knows where he wants to go, and I think he’s known it deep down for awhile now.  However, I don’t blame him a bit for going through the entire process.  It’s a very important decision, and these guys need to get it right or else they can set themselves back.

Virginia Tech is a very attractive school for Nnadi, for obvious reasons.  It’s close to home, his father is an alum, he could play a big role as a true freshman, and the Hokies have recruited him as hard or harder than any other school.  Of course, FSU is very attractive to him (or anyone) as well.  The ‘Noles have an exciting brand under Jimbo Fisher, and they are coming off a National Championship.

By the way, FSU’s number of defensive tackle commits isn’t going to scare Nnadi off.  Here they are:
