1: Who do you see as the top two running backs this year come fall? Do you see any freshmen or redshirt freshmen making the two-deep on any side of the ball this fall?
Chris Coleman: I certainly think there will be some freshmen and r-freshmen in the two-deep this season. One of them – Trey Edmunds – I expect to be in the two-deep at running back, along with sophomore J.C. Coleman. Others will have a shot as well, at various positions.

Kendall Fuller (Fr.) – Once the true freshman arrives on campus, he’ll be in a position to compete for playing time immediately. He might even be a starter right away, if nobody else can lock down the starting job at field corner.
Augie Conte (r-Fr.) – Conte is just finishing up an impressive winter strength and conditioning program. The coaching staff was very impressed with him on the scout team this past season. He has a great shot to be in the two-deep at offensive tackle this year.
Joshua Stanford (r-Fr.) – I believe Stanford will be one of Tech’s top four receivers this season. Perhaps even one of their top two receivers.
Joel Caleb (r-Fr.) – I don’t think Caleb will begin the spring in the two-deep, but those positions are wide open. He has the size and athletic ability to earn a spot.
Deon Clarke (r-Fr.) – Clarke is almost a shoo-in to make the two-deep at backer. Look for him to play a lot on special teams this season.
Nigel Williams (r-Fr.) – Don’t rule out Williams taking a spot in the two-deep at defensive tackle. He’s going to be a very good lineman for the Hokies before it’s all
