DaeSean Hamilton , one of the top uncommitted high school senior prospects in the state of Virginia, wants to have made his college choice by Christmas. The Mountain View (Stafford, VA) wide receiver/defensive back says he has “no idea” which school he will choose, making upcoming official visits extremely important.
“I’m trying to weigh the pros and cons of the schools,” the 6’1″, 185-pound Hamilton said. “I’ll eventually just sit down and figure out what the best decision is for me.”
Hamilton has already taken an official visit to Wake Forest. This weekend, he’ll be in Charlottesville on an official visit at the University of Virginia.
“I’m not looking for anything in particular,” Hamilton answered when asked if there is anything specific he’ll be looking to see this weekend. He has been to Virginia unofficially a few times previously. “I’m paying my respects to the school because Virginia was one of the first to offer, and I wanted to make an official there anyways.”
UVa obviously remains interested in Hamilton, but the Cavaliers coaches aren’t pushing for a commitment.
“I’ve just been talking to their coaches about general stuff,” Hamilton said. “They haven’t been trying to push. They are just telling me they like me as a wide receiver.”
Following Virginia, Hamilton is scheduled to go to Penn State the weekend of December 7-9. This is the only other official scheduled as of now, but the talented athlete says he does want to take an official to Virginia Tech “whenever they have an open time.”
