Warhill (Williamsburg, VA) offensive tackle recruit Parker Osterloh isn’t sure exactly when he will commit, but he admits he doesn’t want to wait too long.
“I’m not in a rush to make a decision, but I definitely want to get it done sooner rather than later,” said the 6’7″, 270-pound junior, who plans to graduate from Warhill in December and enroll in college next January.
For now, Osterloh’s focus is on three: James Madison, UVa and Virginia Tech. JMU was the first school to offer, and the Dukes are not backing down.
“Coach Matthews and Coach Edmonds both said they are still going to come after me,” Osterloh said. “Just for them to be the first school to offer me, it’s important I pay attention to that.”
A recent visit to Harrisonburg went well.
“I was at JMU for their junior day this past weekend, and I enjoyed that,” Osterloh said. “It was good to see all the coaches. I have a good relationship with all of them.”
On March 30, Osterloh will attend Virginia’s spring practice at Christopher Newport University. He then plans to attend Spring Games at Virginia and Virginia Tech. The standout offensive line prospect likes all three schools that have offered, and right now he is just looking for that gut feeling to sway him in one direction.
“I’ve been on all three campuses several times. I enjoy all the campuses, the student life and stuff. I was initially looking for something to hit me that would separate one from the others, but, being familiar with all three, now I’m just looking for the little things that’ll help separate one of them,” Osterloh said.
