Hard work coupled with a big frame and a plus skill-set have helped Ryan Rosburg become a highly accomplished basketball player at Marquette High School in Chesterfield, Missouri. A Missouri Basketball Coaches Association all-state selection last season as a junior, Rosburg, a center/power forward, is the Mustangs all-time leading rebounder and currently second on the school’s all-time leading scorers list. He’s also a high-major Division 1 basketball recruit.

High-majors including Missouri, Tennessee, TCU, Utah, Virginia and Virginia Tech, and locally from the Missouri Valley Conference, Missouri State, Northern Iowa, Creighton and Southern Illinois-Carbondale, offered the 6’10”, 240-pound rising senior. This past weekend, Rosburg traveled to Missouri State for his first official visit.

“I liked a lot of things about it,” Rosburg said of the experience at Missouri State. “I think the coaches are great. I have a good connection with some of the players who were on my AAU team. I know a lot of the players there.”

Rosburg, who is eyeing a fall decision, is in talks with coaches from Virginia and Virginia Tech regarding official visit dates as well. He is set to go to Tennessee Labor Day weekend, and this coming weekend he has tentatively planned a trip to Missouri.

“With everything going on with the NCAA investigation, I just want to go down and figure everything out,” Rosburg said when asked what he’ll be looking for on the Missouri visit. “My brother goes to school there (he’ll be a senior this year), so I’ve been down to Mizzou on unofficials many times.
