From now until February, the Virginia Tech coaching staff will primarily
focus their recruiting on the offensive side of the ball. There are several
major players left to recruit for defense, but there is a much greater need on
offense, particularly on the offensive line.

Right now, Tech has seven offensive commitments for 2012.

Note that Thomas
Smith is a 2012 wide receiver who committed to Tech over the weekend, but
will spend an entire year at Fork Union before coming to Tech in 2013. For all
intents and purposes, he is a 2013 recruit.
