Riverbend High School (Fredericksburg, VA) offensive tackle Adam Taraschke attended Virginia Tech’s camp on Saturday in hopes of earning a scholarship offer. He received good news on Tuesday when he got that offer, and he’s looking to head back to Blacksburg soon.
A decision could be coming soon for the 6-6, 260-lbs lineman.
“It’s very exciting. I also have offers from Ohio and ODU,” Taraschke said of getting the offer. “I think we’re going for a visit to Virginia Tech next Friday, so we’ll see what happens.”
There were a lot of excellent prospects at Saturday’s camp, and Taraschke enjoyed competing with them. He also enjoyed the time he got with the Tech coaching staff.
“I liked the camp, I liked the coaches I worked with a lot. There were a lot of kids at the camp, so it was hard to get a lot of reps, but it was still fun.”
Taraschke is one of two offensive linemen to be offered since Saturday’s camp, joining Powhatan native Augie Conte, who is also projected as an offensive tackle at the college level.
