Recruiting Diary: New Offers For Prosise

At the time of our first “Recruiting Diary” feature, Woodberry Forest (VA) safety/wide receiver CJ Prosise had four scholarship offers, including Maryland, Vanderbilt, Virginia (the first to offer) and Virginia Tech. Three new offers have since come for the versatile junior, who is steadily becoming one of the state’s most highly recruited prospects.

In the midst of outdoor track season, the 6-2, 190-pound prospect was able to get in an unofficial visit to the University of Virginia for its Spring Game. Prosise’s second overall visit to UVa (the first came last fall).

“When I was going there, I knew that the new recruiting class was pretty high in the rankings,” Prosise said. “I got to see them. I can tell they are excited about the program. You can tell Virginia is starting to rebuild a lot. I think I want to be part of that, but I really don’t know yet. They are recruiting a lot more athletes.”

This weekend, Prosise heads to childhood favorite Virginia Tech for its Spring Game.
