Anthony Turns Attention To Recruiting

The stellar high school football career of Anson (Wadesboro, N.C.) 5-star linebacker Stephone Anthony is over (except for the Under Armour AA Game), but while the 6-3, 220-pound senior is disappointed that his team isn’t playing in the postseason, he is anxious to figure out where he wants to continue his football career.

“The latest with recruiting is that I think I’ll buckle down and get serious with it,” Anthony said. “During the season, I tried not to think about it too much. I went to the LSU at Florida game. I have plans to go to the UNC/Virginia Tech game on Saturday (for an unofficial visit).”

Though he may take a few more unofficials — he mentioned Florida, Clemson and Georgia as possibilities after this weekend — Anthony’s primary order of business is to schedule official visits. Right now, he knows of three of the five schools he wants to officially visit.

“I know Florida, Clemson, and Virginia Tech,” Anthony said. “I have to sort out the last two.”
