Good quarterback play can be the difference between a good season and a great
season. Virginia Tech has been on the good end and bad end of that deal in the
past. This year they are fortunate enough to have a talented, experienced senior
quarterback, as well as more depth at the position than they had in 2009.

The Hokies have five scholarship players at the quarterback position, which
is more than I can ever remember in all the years that I’ve been covering the
team. After looking it up, you’ve got to go all the way back to 2005 when Tech
had Marcus Vick, Sean Glennon, Cory Holt, Ike Whitaker and Greg Boone.
