Since the early stages of the Beamer Bowl Era, Virginia Tech has been known
for coaching stability. Assistant coaches are loyal to Frank Beamer, and he is
loyal to them. However, following the 2005 season, the Tech coaching staff went
through a dramatic change.

Four coaches left the program, and four new coaches entered. Bryan
Stinespring also began to coach the tight ends, rather than the offensive line.
