All-Decade Football Team: The Offense

There have been plenty of good football players over the last decade for
Virginia Tech. The Hokies have had All-Americans, award winners, and they’ve put
players in the NFL on a consistent basis. You’ll find most of those players
included in our All-Decade team. Today we’ll start with the offense.

The All-Decade team is a bit different than the Top 10 list that we released
earlier in the year. The Top 10 list took into account total accomplishments
over the decade from 2000 through 2009. The All-Decade team doesn’t take that
approach. It simply takes the best players of the decade, no matter the numbers.

In short, if I was a head football coach and had to pick a two-deep from the
Virginia Tech offense over the last 10 years, here’s what it would look like.

Pos. First
QB Michael Vick Tyrod Taylor
RB Ryan Williams Lee Suggs
RB Kevin Jones Darren Evans
FB Jarrett Ferguson Doug Easlick
WR Andre Davis Ernest Wilford
WR Josh Morgan Eddie Royal
TE Jeff King Greg Boone
OT Duane Brown Ed Wang
OT Jimmy Martin Dave Kadela
C Jake Grove Ryan Shuman
OG Matt Lehr Sergio Render
OG Will Montgomery
