Brandon Coleman ‘s recruiting card
4-star wide receiver prospect Brandon Coleman managed to trim his list of schools down to six before the start of his senior season. This week, the 6-6, 200-pound senior, a Bishop McNamara (Forestville, MD) product, listed a top five and a current favorite.
“It’s Rutgers, Virginia Tech, Maryland, UVa, and Syracuse,” Coleman said. “These are my top five in order.
“Rutgers is the favorite.”
There hasn’t been much activity in terms of visits, as no visits have been taken or planned. Coleman does, however, plan to eventually use at least some of his allotted five official visits. He made a host of unofficial visits this spring and summer to help initially narrow his list.
“I plan to take official visits and based off those visits I will make my decision,” said Coleman, who has visited each of his favorites at least once. “My decision will not be off the official alone, a lot will go into this decision, but it will be one of the factors.”
Coleman says not to expect a commitment to come any time soon.
“Well after the season. I’m not looking to make a decision soon,” Coleman answered when asked when he might be ready to commit.
On the gridiron, Bishop McNamara is undefeated through four games. One of the top remaining uncommitted players in the state of Maryland, Coleman has shown why he is a highly regarded prospect. Through four games he has amassed 12 receptions for 215 yards and six touchdowns.
