Bishop McNamara (Forestville, MD) standout wide receiver Brandon Coleman is focused on six schools right now, including four ACC programs and two Big East programs. The 6-6, 200-pound senior remains in no rush to commit, instead choosing to focus primarily on his senior season.
After making numerous visits throughout the spring and summer, Coleman eventually whittled his list down to the following schools…
“My list is Rutgers, Virginia Tech, Maryland, UVa, Wake Forest and Syracuse,” Coleman said.
Coleman, who has been offered by 13 FBS programs including all six of the finalists, has yet to make any unofficial or official visits this month. No future plans have been set, either, although the talented prospect hasn’t ruled out making visits during the season.
“My schedule will decide if I can squeeze any games in. I will try,” Coleman said.
He has, though, been in touch with coaches.
“Rutgers…pretty much their whole coaching staff,” Coleman answered when asked which coaches he has been contacted by this month. “There is Virginia Tech and Coach Hite and Maryland Coach Friedgen. UVa Coach Dex came to see me on Friday. And Coach Marrone from Syracuse.”
Coleman, rated a 4-star prospect by national recruiting sites Rivals.com and Scout.com, eyes an appearance in the WCAC championship game in November.
“The team is looking good,” said Coleman, a second-team all-WCAC selection last season as a junior. “We must take one game at a time and I predict that we will play in the last game on November 21st for the championship. We just have to stick together and have faith and trust the coaching staff.”
