Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA) offensive lineman Caleb Farris picked up a big-time offer last Tuesday, when Virginia Tech became the third Division 1A program to offer the 6-4, 300-pound junior. Farris, who also has offers from East Carolina and Marshall, learned of the news in interesting fashion.
“I was in [Rockbridge] Coach [Jason] White’s office and he told me my mom was on the way,” Farris recalled. “He said I needed to fill out some paperwork for the Clearinghouse.
