Virginia Tech will begin spring football practice on April 1. Though the
Hokies are expected to be very good in 2009, there are still major issues on
both sides of the ball that need to be addressed. Today we’ll take a look at the
offense, which has question marks at quarterback behind Tyrod Taylor, as well as
depth on the interior of the offensive line.

Finally, there is no quarterback controversy in Blacksburg. For the first time
since 2005, Virginia Tech fans aren’t calling for a backup quarterback to
supplant the starter. Tyrod Taylor has no competition this year. However, there
will still be competition at the position this spring.
