Nick Acree made his presence felt at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Junior Combine earlier this month, performing well and earning first-team all-combine as a defensive lineman. The 6-6, 300-pound Acree impressed in several phases, including one-on-ones and the shuttle, but decided not to show off his weightlifting prowess after pulling a shoulder out of place two days before the combine.

“It was great,” Acree said of his combine experience, in which he turned in a 4.7-second shuttle time. “They saw what I did in one-on-one drills and made first-team all-defensive line at the combine. I’m also a 5-star prospect on Rivals and a 4-star on Scout. I was a little disappointed about the Scout ranking, but that’s cool…I’ll have to show them what I can do. I was happy to know that I’m also one of Rivals’ 250 players to watch in the 2010 class.”

Acree kept busy on the day of one-on-one drills. Overall, he was pleased with his performance against other top juniors from around the country.
