Norman Talks 2008 Season, Recruitment

6-3, 185-pound athlete Theron Norman has yet to narrow his list of schools and he doesn’t seem to be in a rush to make a college decision. Instead, the Hermitage (Richmond, VA) standout has spent the majority of his summer preparing for his senior season and his new role as the full-time Panthers starting quarterback.

“I’m trying to get everybody together and work hard. I’m trying to get everybody out so we can get chemistry going,” said Norman, who, along with a good amount of his teammates, attended 7-on-7 passing tournaments at East Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia last month.

“I’ve improved a lot as a quarterback as far as leading the team and making reads and taking my time. I know when I first started playing quarterback as a sophomore, I rushed and played nervous. Now, things seem more under control. Basically, I’ve been making my reads and trusting my teammates.”

Five schools have extended official offers to Norman. They include Connecticut, Maryland, Syracuse, Virginia and Virginia Tech. In addition to having visited Maryland, Virginia and Virginia Tech, the Hermitage star attended Tennessee’s camp this summer and was able to tour West Virginia at last month’s 7-on-7.
