Windle Talks Visits, New Offer

6-3, 220-pound Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, N.C.) standout linebacker/tight end Tucker Windle continued his recent run of recruiting success on Sunday, picking up his sixth Division 1A scholarship offer. But first, Windle visited the University of Virginia and had a terrific experience in Charlottesville from Thursday to Sunday morning.

“UVa was great,” said Windle. “I got there late Thursday night. On Friday night, I met up with some of their guys and got a feel for their pre-game activities. They couldn’t go out at night because they had the Spring Game the next day. On Saturday, I did some alumni stuff with my dad (former UVa linebacker Al Windle) and went to the Spring Game. At night, I went out with some of the players.”

Windle had a great time on Saturday night, having a chance to get to know more of UVa’s players. He spent a majority of time with his host, freshman Andrew Devlin.

“Every guy that I talked to or Andrew introduced me to was great,” Windle said. “They all made me feel real comfortable. It was a great night in general. I had a blast. I couldn’t ask for a better time.”
