The 2006 recruiting class was very frustrating for Virginia Tech. The Hokies
signed just one recruit in the in-state Top 10, and just five in the Top 30. A
lot of big name players got away, such as Percy Harvin, Jarrell Miller, Chris
Bell and Brent Vinson, and a lot of them went out of state — 14 of the top 20
left the Commonwealth. Two years later, it’s time to take a
look and see how that class is faring in college.

Virginia Tech did not recruit every player listed below. This is TSL’s
Postseason Top 30 list for the class of 2006. As you’ll see, there are some
studs and there are some duds, but for the most part it’s too early to tell how
good these guys are going to be.
