Kathleen Senior (Lakeland, FL) star T.J. Lawrence did make his scheduled official visit to Virginia Tech this past weekend, arriving on Saturday around one o’clock in the afternoon and leaving yesterday. The 6-1, 190-pound prospect, a cornerback recruit for the Hokies, discussed his experience as well as just how long he plans to go until he makes a college decision.

And he wanted to see how he felt around the players.

“I felt like a Hokie when I was around them,” Lawrence said.

Lawrence, one of Virginia Tech’s top remaining targets, has developed an excellent relationship with primary recruiter Torrian Gray. Over the weekend, he had a chance to hear from other Tech coaches as well.

“They were cool,” Lawrence said of Tech’s coaches. “Coach Beamer was cool when I talked to him. He told me about the program and said I could have a chance to play both ways. I talked to Coach Foster. He seemed pretty cool. He said the
