Last year, Virginia Tech had a big depth problem in the offensive backfield.
Branden Ore was great, but he was worn down by the end of the season because he
got so many carries. Kenny Lewis, Jr. was serviceable by the end of the season,
but as a true freshman, couldn’t come close to matching Ore’s production. This
year, things do look a little better than last season.

Don’t look for Ore to be used as much in 2007 as he was in 2006. Both Kenny
Lewis, Jr. and Jahre Cheeseman showed promise in the spring, and Lewis
