Fitzgerald to Narrow List Soon

With 18 Division 1A scholarship offers in the fold, West Windsor Plainsboro South (Princeton Junction, N.J.) linebacker J.B. Fitzgerald has plenty of options for the next level. He plans to narrow his list very soon, though, to a more manageable number of schools.

“Following this month, I’m going to trim my list down probably to six or seven schools,” Fitzgerald said. “As of now, I only have two more unofficial visits planned [for late spring/summer]. The first weekend in June, my parents and I are going to Ann Arbor to visit Michigan. It will be my third trip out there and my mother’s first trip out there. I’ll get to know the Michigan players a little bit, so it should be pretty good.

“Two weeks after that, I will take a trip down to Florida. I want to see the program first hand, check out the campus and see what they have to offer academically.”

Michigan and Florida – the Gators recently came in with an offer – are two schools almost certain to make Fitzgerald’s first cut. Rutgers is another.
