Three-star offensive lineman Desmond Roberts certainly was impressed with his official visit to Virginia Tech this past weekend. The Hokies are in this race, but will the official visit experience be enough to sway the talented Northampton (Gaston, N.C.) recruit from his original commitment to N.C. State?

Roberts addressed his current situation, ranking his finalists in the current order of preference.

“There is N.C. State, then Virginia Tech and then Penn State,” said Roberts, who considers himself a soft commitment to N.C. State. “I don’t know exactly what I’m going to do now. I’m going to take the next couple of days to think about everything and then make a decision.”

Virginia Tech’s players made a very positive impression on Roberts.
