Final Stretch for Jamar Jackson

Jamar Jackson ’s decision seems to get more and more complicated. After enjoying each of his first four official visits – to Boston College, Louisville, N.C. State and Virginia Tech, respectively – the 6-4, 230-pound Varina (VA) star had another good experience this past weekend. And he has one more visit remaining before he plans to make a decision.

“It was great,” Jackson said of this past weekend’s visit to Clemson. It was an unofficial visit. “Actually, the stadium really surprised me. It was as loud as Blacksburg was to me. It was real loud. I liked the whole atmosphere.”

Jackson arrived at Clemson on Saturday and left Sunday morning. While he didn’t get to experience as much as he would if it was an official visit, the trip still went well.

“I didn’t get to really tour the campus, but we rode around and the coaches showed us around the facilities,” Jackson said. “They showed me the locker room and the coaches’ offices. Coach Bowden was great. It was a real honor to meet him. I talked to a couple of players. I talked to Gaines Adams and Ricky Sapp, guys who play my position. They were saying it is a great program with great academics.”
