Mosley Considering Three Offers

Henrico (Richmond, VA) only returns seven starters from last year’s squad that went 6-4, but it is returning some pretty important players. One of the key returnees is senior standout Corey Mosley , a 5-9, 192-pound safety/running back for the Warriors. A Richmond Times-Dispatch second-team all-metro selection last season as a junior, Mosley, who combines very good speed and overall athleticism, has picked up three scholarship offers and is drawing interest from a number of other top programs.

This upcoming season will be a challenge, but Mosley is looking forward to it.

“Me and my coach talked about it and I’m going to have to play a major role this year, but, you know, I want to try and get my team involved as well,” Mosley said. “We’ve got a lot of young players coming up from JV. They’re working hard. Coach told me I’m going to have to play the role as a leader and as a captain, so I’ve got a lot on my shoulders and I’m ready. I’m ready. The team’s ready. Everybody is ready to go out there and do good.”

Henrico head coach Jesse Chavis III plays Mosley primarily at the tailback and safety positions. From the defensive back spot, Mosley registered 48 tackles and had five interceptions last season. On offense, he rushed for 378 yards on 34 carries and had 18 receptions for 442 yards. Mosley tallied seven touchdowns on offense.
