Richland Northeast (Columbia, S.C.) star WR/S Mark Barnes certainly wants to begin the process of narrowing his list of schools, but making unofficial visits has come to be more difficult than expecteds. Barnes remains hopeful of making at least a few trips before the beginning of his senior season.
“It’s been all football stuff,” Barnes said of what he’s been up to this summer. “I’ve been working out every day, just working on techniques and getting my team together and stuff like that. He claims he will make all five official visits before making a commitment. “The coaches can tell me things, but I have to experience it for myself first before I actually give a top five or top three.”
Barnes listed the schools he would like to visit before his senior year begins.
“I’ll most likely be visiting some teams before the season starts,” Barnes said. “August 4th I think I’ll be visiting Florida (no offer), Florida State and Miami (no offer). I think I’ll probably visit Georgia Tech on my way back. Also I think I’ll be visiting Virginia Tech and LSU.”
