Last month, Mount Lebanon (Pittsburgh, PA) tight end recruit Andrew Devlin made a series of unofficial visits to schools. He’s focused right now on helping his team prepare for the upcoming season, but, in the near future, he will have to start focusing more on recruiting if he wants to have a decision before Mount Lebanon’s pre-season camp starts.

“I’m pretty sure I want to commit before my senior year,” Devlin said. “I want to do it by August 13th. Hopefully, it will be by that date. August 14th is our camp.

“Right now, I’m just trying to focus on my team with the passing camp and all that stuff. We’re looking real good so far. I want to concentrate on that for right now.”

In addition to visiting UVa last month, Devlin went on a Midwest tour of schools. And he recently visited Pitt again and said “it was nice to see those guys again.”

“All of them are pretty even right now. Every school is different with coaches and that kind of stuff, but right now I’d say it’s even.”

Virginia and Virginia Tech…

Devlin reflected on last month’s visit to UVa and talked about the recent communication from the staff.

“I think it was just hanging out with the guys,” Devlin said. “The first time I went there I toured the facilities and saw the campus but never got to hang out with the guys. The second time was about hanging out with the guys and I felt like I fit in pretty well. Kevin McCabe is from Pine-Richland and he’s from the same kind of community as me. It felt like those were the kids I hang out with back home.

“I talk to coach Borbely on a regular basis and of course all those coaches are sending text
