Varina (VA) running back Brandon Minor headed back out on the recruiting trail last weekend, making an official visit to the University of Michigan. The 6-0, 220-pound 4-star recruit had a good visit to Ann Arbor and has an official planned this weekend to another of his four finalists.
“I’d give it a 10,” Minor answered when asked to rate the Michigan visit. It was his first time visiting Ann Arbor. “Everything stood out. I liked the coaches and they have great facilities. The players were pretty cool. I felt real comfortable.”
Minor made an official visit to Tennessee in October. How did Michigan compare?
“It was better than Tennessee because I went to Tennessee during a game weekend,” Minor said. “It was game day, so I didn’t get to spend as much time with the players or coaches or check out the campus.”
This weekend, Minor will head to Miami. He will make one more visit after that before announcing a decision.
“I’ve got Miami this weekend and then I have [Virginia] Tech on the 21st [of January],” Minor said. “That’s it. I don’t have any favorites yet.”
Of Virginia Tech, Minor says “I like everything about them. It’s the same thing I like about all four of these schools.”
Virginia Tech’s primary recruiter is Jim Cavanaugh, who landed Meadowbrook defensive end John Graves earlier this week.
