6-6, 300-pound defensive end Jared Odrick made his way to Charlottesville this past weekend and, despite the loss to Virginia Tech, enjoyed his UVa official visit experience. The 4-star prospect had visited UVa several times before and developed great relationships – relationships which helped him feel very comfortable throughout the weekend.

“I’d probably have to say just getting along with the people there – the coaching staff, the players – I know everybody so well,” Odrick replied when asked what the highlight of the weekend was for him.

Odrick was hosted on Friday night by freshman quarterback Jameel Sewell and on Saturday night by sophomore defensive end Chris Long. Before this weekend, he noted how good of a relationship he had developed with Long. Odrick seems to have gotten along with the rest of the players as well.

“It was great,” Odrick said. “I always have a good time at UVa. I always get along with the guys real good and that’s one of the things that attracted me to that program. The people there are great people and I can mesh with them.”
