4-star standout Damon McDaniel , who is one of the top wide receivers in the country, had been scheduled to take an official visit to LSU this weekend. According to Landstown head coach Chris Beatty, the 6-0, 195-pound star may reschedule the trip for later this month.

“I think he’s going to reschedule it,” Beatty said of the official visit. LSU plays Florida this weekend. “I think he’s going to take it on the weekend of the 28th, which is our bye week.”

McDaniel, along with teammate Percy Harvin, made an official visit to Florida last month. Of the experience, Beatty says McDaniel “liked it. He liked it a lot. Both he and Percy had a really good time.”

Miami, Virginia Tech and Ohio State round out McDaniel’s top five schools. Beatty says McDaniel “probably will not take a visit to Florida State” and believes his star will take official visits to the five aforementioned programs. McDaniel has an official visit set to Virginia Tech for the weekend of November 5th. The final two visits have not been scheduled, although Beatty noted that McDaniel and Harvin may make official visits to Miami on October 22nd.
