Randallstown (MD) 6-3, 270-pound star Melvin Alaeze was contemplating whether or not he would announce his collegiate decision at next Saturday’s Army All-American game in San Antonio, Texas. Alaeze, a 5-star defensive end, has made his decision.

“Yes, he is [going to announce his decision during the January 15th game],” said Dinma Alaeze, father of Melvin Alaeze. “He will announce at the game. It will be between Maryland and Virginia Tech.”

Maryland had been considered the heavy favorite before Alaeze made an official visit to Virginia Tech on December 17th. The experience pushed Tech right to the front along with the Terrapins. It will be a very close decision.

The announcement will likely take place at halftime of the game, which starts at 1:00 pm EST. The game will be televised live on NBC.
