This weekend, mammoth 6-4, 303-pound defensive tackle prospect Luqman Abdallah will take an official visit to Wake Forest. Next weekend he goes to Miami and then Virginia Tech on the weekend of the 21st. These will be the final 3 official visits for Abdallah, who has already been to Michigan State and Rutgers.
“All 5 schools are still at the top,” Abdallah said. “It’s not going to be an easy decision. I’m going to make my decision based on academics and how I fit in on my official visits. Hopefully I’ll know where I’m going after I see all of these schools.”
The Hun School (Princeton, N.J.) star, who actually lived in the state of Virginia for a few years before heading back to New Jersey, says that Virginia Tech is very much in the mix for his services.
“They’ve always had a good football program,” Abdallah says of Virginia Tech. “It was impressive to see what they did in the conference this year. I won’t make my decision based on that though. I do like their academics and their coaches. I hope I feel like I fit in with the players after my visit, but I don’t know that yet.”
Michigan State and Wake Forest have had in-school visits this week. Miami and Virginia Tech are expected in today.
Abdallah, who carries a 3.0 GPA, wants to major in Business Administration.
