Virginia Tech landed one of the fastest players in the state of New Jersey today, when 5-9, 180-pound athlete recruit Jahre Cheeseman chose the Hokies over Penn State.
“We can now say it because it’s official…he’s committed to Virginia Tech,” said Acintia Robinson, Jahre’s mother.
The 14th player to commit for the 2005 class, Cheeseman could play running back, wide receiver or cornerback on the next level. He played running back and cornerback for Eastern Regional High School in Voorhees, N.J. He has been timed at 4.37 in the 40 yard dash.
