William Fleming (Roanoke, VA) linebacker Darryl Gresham has not seen his recruitment slow down since he committed to the University of Virginia. This month, the talented defender has heard from Florida, Tennessee, and Maryland in addition to Virginia. He has also received letters from Florida State.
Gresham, who still considers himself a commitment to Virginia, appears interested in at least 2 other schools from that list.
“I’m still a verbal commitment [to Virginia], but I’m still looking at Florida and Tennessee,” Gresham said. “I plan on taking unofficial visits to all three schools and take some official visits. I don’t know when I’ll take the visits. I don’t have anything scheduled.”
Of Virginia, Gresham says “everything I said before I still like. They’re doing real well this year.” He wants to attend as many as 2 Virginia games this Fall.
So far this season, Gresham has showed why he is one of the top 10 prospects in the state of Virginia. The 6-3, 230-pound inside linebacker has helped William Fleming to a 3-1 record with the only loss coming to Pulaski by one point – 20-19. Defensively, Gresham estimates that he has over 50 tackles, 1 interception and 1 forced fumble.
