Virginia hosted 6-10, 220-pound center Sam Warren this past weekend on an official visit. It was the Cherry Creek High School (Denver, CO) star’s second official visit, with the first being to the University of Nebraska.
“He likes Virginia,” Cherry Creek Head Coach Mike Brookhart said. “He liked his visit very much. He liked the coaches and felt like he fit in well. He should have a decision within the week. It’s going to be between Nebraska and Virginia.”
According to Brookhart, location will not be a factor in Warren’s decision.
“It’s no factor at all,” Brookhart said. “He has family back there.”
Stay tuned for Warren’s impending decision. As a junior, Warren averaged 7 points, 6 blocks and 5 rebounds per game.
