TB/CB Victor “Macho” Harris, who is the number one prospect in the state of Virginia, has set up 4 official visits according to Highland Springs Head Coach Scott Burton.
“He has unofficially officially set up official visits,” Burton said. “What I mean by that is that we haven’t sent in transcripts and things like that, but I do have some dates for you. He’s scheduled USC on October 16th, Michigan on October 30th, UVa on December 4th and Virginia Tech on December 11th. If we’re lucky enough that we happen to be playing in the playoffs for those dates in December, we’ll just reschedule them.”
Interestingly, Harris will set up two more official visits – to Maryland and Miami (Fl), respectively. That makes 6 scheduled officials, and the maximum amount of official visits each prospect can make is 5. The plan is for Harris to eventually cancel one of those trips.
“We’re going to schedule official visits to all 6 schools,” Burton said. “Then it’s up to Victor to decide which 5 he makes.”
It looks like all of the schools are still very much in the race for Harris, who is rated a 5-star prospect. The next step here will be cutting his official visits from 6 to at least 5.
In 2 games, Harris has had a significant hand in helping the Springers to a 2-0 record. At tailback, he has rushed for 418 yards and 3 touchdowns in the first 2 games. He has one touchdown receiving and, on defense, he has returned one interception for a score.
Harris, who is being recruited as an athlete, is favoring playing cornerback on the next level.
