Toney Baker will likely take any official visits following his senior season. During the Fall, Ragsdale’s all-everything tailback plans on making several unofficial visits for games. One school seems almost certain to get one of those unofficial visits.
“I know I’m probably going to the Florida at Tennessee game (on September 18th),” Baker said. “Other than that, I’m not sure where I’ll go. N.C. State called and said they want me to come down. I’ll probably go there. I definitely want to see Virginia play. I want to see a game atmosphere there. I want to see Virginia Tech too.
“I’m going to see where I’m going to take my unofficial visits, then I’ll see where I’ll take my official visits I guess.”
Baker says he is considering attending the UNC/Virginia game this weekend, but hasn’t decided whether or not he’ll go.

“I talked to Virginia’s Head Coach,” Baker said. “I didn’t get a chance to talk to Coach Prince. Coach [Groh] was just telling me they want me to get down there to see them play. He said I’m one of their top guys.”
While he enjoys talking to the coaches, Baker admits the phone calls don’t make things any easier when it comes to making a decision.
“It’s starting to become harder,” Baker said of recruiting. “Because they can call now. The only time they could call before was in May. It makes things a little tougher.”
Another school seems to be making a small push, at least in terms of possibly getting a visit this Fall. That school is Clemson.
“I pretty much still have the same top 5,” Baker said. “Now I might want to go see Clemson too. I’m not sure. I’m really just sitting back and trying to enjoy my season. I’m playing everything else by ear.”
Among his top 5, Baker says that “right now, nobody has really expanded ahead of the rest.”
Baker is off...
